Updated: Sep 14, 2020

September 11, 2020 Jackson Township, Louisville Township, Scott County, MN

I was honored to represent the Highway 169 Corridor Coalition as Chair and be a part of the ribbon cutting for this innovative new diverging diamond intersection in Scott County.

The $72 million project was two years in the making and achieves the coalitions objectives along the 169 corridor:

Identify and develop intersection improvements that address safety, mobility, freight, accessibility, and connectivity needs while minimizing impacts to residents, businesses, and natural resources.

Goals of this project included the following:

  • An inclusive public participation process

  • Safety and mobility serving the area for the long-term

  • A connected frontage road system to serve local residences and businesses

  • Improvements that are consistent with local, regional, and state plans and standards

This project was funded by the Scott County Transportation Sales Tax, a Federal TIGR Grant and MnDOT.
